Proofreading
Once you are satisfied with a document and it has been edited – possibly several times and potentially by different people – the final step should always be proofreading.
Why You Need a Proofreader
This is the last opportunity to catch the typing mistakes and accidental slips that might have escaped all those who have already seen the document
It is always best to have a fresh pair of eyes check a document – somebody who has not been connected with a project can bring a new, unbiased opinion
How I Can Help
I have read almost every kind of material, some of it highly sensitive and carrying a great risk of legal damage if mistakes were allowed to reach the finished page
I am careful and methodical, and always mindful of the potential impact upon my clients and their reputations if errors were to appear in their publications
Even the best editor and writer can testify that typos and other errors do occur – I will do all I can, using two decades of experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines with little room for error, to remove them from your text
Formatting
For those unused to programs like Word and InDesign, formatting a document with the correct margins, section breaks, page numbering, bullets, etc., can be a minefield
I have formatted everything from online newspaper articles to books, and I can turn your file from plain text to a complete, print-ready manuscript
